Danceworks // In The Studio

This session brought back some good, some bad and some unexpectedly emotional memories. If you didn't know, I was a dancer for 13 years of my life. It was a love, hate relationship. Pros, I got to be creative, have fun and keep fit. Cons, I had a horrible body image (either being too skinny or not skinny enough), missing out on normal kid things, or at least when I thought to be normal kid things, and having the consistent stress of being good enough and remembering the dances. At the peak of my 'career' I was even doing 17 hours a week of classes.... thinking back.. how the hell did I have enough time to do homework and eat?1

But regardless of my past, seeing this young ladies express themselves through dance was awesome! And they were super cool to hangout with. Plus, this building is AMAZING!
