Megan // Portait Session

I've always found it really odd when I come back home... Not because I don't like it there or because I don't feel like I belong, but because every time I come back, my sister is at least another inch taller. Normally, that just means she is closer to stealing the clothes I left in my old room, but this time round it was much worse. The kid was taller than me!! Like... I'm talking, could rest her chin on my head kind of tall. Now, I am the first one to say I'm around the size of an elf... but my baby sister being more height advanced than me... it was a low blow.

On top of the obvious changes, she was also graduating highschool, and with that, going to prom. I don't think prom is really so much a thing in New Zealand, but in Canada, it's up there with your wedding, 16th birthday and all that. So this was weird. The last time I lived in the same house as my sister (Megan by the way), she was just starting highschool, really awkward and didn't talk to me much. To be honest, the conversation levels didn't really increase but she was old, and wore makeup and had friends AND COULD DRIVE.. so as a big sister, I was in awe.

Anyways... back to the reason I am writing this blog (can you tell I'm still a bit jostled about the height thing?) During my visit, I got to do Megan's prom photos, two separate times actually. The first on the actual day of her prom, and the second we got our little (or not so little) hands on some horses she rides. It was pretty awesome. Enjoy!
